I Healing Stories - Many healing stories were shared at the 50th Cell-ebration of Tellington TTouch. One puppy could hardly see, had red eyes and with one session was running normally around the room avoiding any obstacles. Veterinarian Stephanie Cote shared something new – catnip ice cream
got many cats eating again. Check out their many techniques and classes on their site and on YouTube. When I was speaking at a small conference, the resident dog in the shop was a Shepherd who seemed to be in charge, checking everyone out; I thought it normal. The TTouch speaker put on a figure 8 calming wrap (often used for storms) and he walked back to
his big open crate, laid down and calmly watched the activity from there. He had been on higher alert than I realized.
- Veterinarian Peter Dobias tells a story that relaxed his opinions. Often I speak of animals who thrive on diets I may not recommend. He met a dog who was celebrating its 31st birthday. A medium sized brown dog, Bobi acted like a 15 – 16 year old dog. A spark in the eye, loving to visit dog, cat and human friends in the village showed his
health. He had been fed mostly cooked, some raw, vegetables from the garden, some fish, some meat. He loved to eat onions and tomato sauce. And he lived to 31!! So relax. Enjoy your dogs and cats every moment and remember we each have different needs and sensitivities.
II Health Tips - Eating poop? It is normal to eat vegetarian poop (squirrels, rabbits). Eating rocks/sticks? Licking cement or photos?
These are all signs there is an internal energy imbalance. These are all called pica and I just learned it comes from the Latin for ‘magpie’, a bird that gathers objects to satisfy its curiosity!
- Neurologist Sue Wagner spoke this week for Holistic Actions members on the effect we
have on each other. Try this:
- Find a quiet moment to sit with your pet. Take three deep breaths to center yourself and ask yourself: "What behavior in my pet challenges me the now?
- Then gently ask: "Where in my own life might I be experiencing something similar?"
- Notice what arises without judgment or guilt. "There is nothing wrong. We're walking a journey with our animals, and we are here to help each other."
- Finally, place your hand over your heart
and send a wave of gratitude to your pet for this silent teaching. This awareness itself is healing—for both of you.
- Feeding fresh food is the very best. Many ask about sourcing, especially meat. This website may help your search, including family-owned farms, butcher shops, meat processing, meat markets, local businesses, state
resources, meats, beef, pork, chicken and more. Missing was one of my hacks is to find hunted wild meat processors.
III Classes & Other Learning - Love In Action summit! - March 31 - April 4!Leading dog professionals, including yours truly, from across the globe share their priceless wisdom during five days of educational interviews. My topic is: What sensitive dogs really need to
feel safe and loved. 🐾 Register for FREE!
- For those of you passionate, or newly interested in the magical power of homeopathy for deep healing, this writing at the homeopathy journal by Dr. Luc De Shepper who moved to another plane January of this year, is very powerful and worth re-reading several times. Testimonials from other homeopaths give a sense of the life of this man who contributed so much to the modern practice of homeopathy.
- While at the magazine site, do a search for canine or feline cases and have fun reading. One by veterinarian Ronit Aboutboul about an itchy dog
could be useful to any of you with behavioral or skin issues. Consider this a course to read the many articles here, and even download some free homeopathy books.
- For those who would like to begin learning about homeopathy, I strongly recommend three books. Homeopathic Care of Cats and Dogs has great information, especially chapters 2
and 3, about how animals become ill and heal, even if you never use a homeopathic medicine. Practical Handbook of Veterinary Homeopathy walks you through how your veterinary homeopath would be treating your companion so you can be a better client. 101 cured cases in many different species will inspire you with the power of homeopathy and help you be patient
in Homeopathy: What to Expect.
- Sandy Rackowitz, a wonderful intuitive was interviewed by Joy Adler and Dan Zavadli on their podcast (which has other great speakers to learn from. Tune in for 30 minutes of insights from the animals
IV Good News From Organizations For Health And Sustainability - The Hunger Project. A woman from Uganda wrote about prenatal health and lessening infant illnesses. She said
that before The Hunger Project inspired them, there were no home gardens and now every house in the villages has gardens in the back, side and in front. This access to nutritious food helps nursing mothers as well.
- Foundation for Climate Restoration. Most of us have heard the net zero CO2 goals. Turns out that what is needed is a bit more than that. We need to restore CO2 levels to what they were for millennia – 300ppm. Check out this site and sign the pledge.
- Pachamama reports that the group Fundación Pachamama exported 10 tons of Morete pulp, creating new opportunities for Indigenous communities, while Amazonian chocolate made waves in Paris and Amsterdam, introducing the world to the rich traditions of cacao and macambo.
